This role is crucial to maintaining the efficiency and precision of our processes. The ideal candidate, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, will have a strong background in toolmaking, tooling, manual machining, CNC machining, and tool making. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking company where you can develop your skills and progress your career.Responsibilities:As a Permanent Toolmaker, you will be responsible for:Designing, building, and repairing custom tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures to support production activities.Operating manual and CNC machine tools to produce precision parts.Interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production.Collaborating with the engineering and production teams to identify and implement tooling improvements.Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure optimal functionality.Troubleshooting and resolving tooling problems swiftly and effectively.Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with company policies and safety regulations.Providing technical support and training to junior team members as required.Keeping up to date with the latest tooling technologies and industry trends.Qualifications:The successful candidate will have:A minimum of 3 years' experience in toolmaking or a related role within the manufacturing industry.Proficiency in operating manual and CNC machine tools.Strong knowledge of tool design and fabrication techniques.Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot tooling issues.Strong communication and teamwork skills.A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.A proactive approach to learning and staying updated with the latest industry trends.A strong understanding of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing environment.Relevant certification or qualification in toolmaking, machining, or a related field is preferred.Interested in hearing more?
