 Requirements: Degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field 1+ years of product development experience How you will make a difference: Assist in the conceptualization and iterative development of innovative fiber optic hardware solutions for all market segments. Create 3D models and prototypes that demonstrate functionality and/or appearance. Enjoy being hands-on and getting into the field to look for insights. Participate in brainstorming sessions and design reviews to contribute ideas and feedback to the global design team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design intent with project objectives and business goals throughout the project. Prepare detailed design documentation and presentation materials. Train, educate and advise on industry best practices for Visual Language, Design Thinking and UX/UI. Execute packaging and label graphics that align with current standards. Skills for your success: Strong communication skills designers must have the ability to clearly communicate design intent through written, drawn, and verbal direction to a diverse audience. Proficiency in CAD software (experience with CREO is preferred). Often approach problems from many different angles and challenge the status quo. Good to strong digital sketching and visual communication skills. Expert level proficiency in KeyShot and Adobe Creative Cloud. Solid understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and engineering principles. High personal standard for detail and craftsmanship. Dynamic in collaborative environments with the ability to deliver constructive feedback diplomatically. Naturally curious and inquisitive about how and why things work with a willingness to try and fail at something new. Able to execute within an established visual brand language across a broad portfolio. Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Natural interest in sustainability, AI, generative design, and cutting-edge design tools. Familiar with DFM/A. Advanced understanding of human factors and ergonomics. Additional experience or training in UX is a plus.
