Role DescriptionSeeking a dedicated and experienced Site Safety Manager to oversee safety protocols and ensure compliance at our crane operations on the Panasonic Battery Plant project in De Soto, KS. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of OSHA 1926 regulations, crane safety protocols, and experience in high-risk, industrial construction environments. This position requires the ability to lead and implement safety strategies while actively ensuring a safety-first work environment for all crane operations.The Site Safety Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of safety, ensuring that employees are following company safety policies, and promoting a culture of safety on-site. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-profile, large-scale industrial construction project with a focus on crane operations.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement safety plans tailored to crane operations in a high-risk industrial setting.Conduct daily site safety inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and company safety regulations.Collaborate with project managers and crane operators to review job hazard analyses (JHAs) and pre-task planning for all crane lifts and related tasks.Ensure crane operations follow OSHA standards (29 CFR 1926 Subpart CC) and other relevant regulations.Oversee the safe operation, rigging, and lifting practices on-site to prevent accidents and ensure compliance.Lead and conduct daily safety briefings (toolbox talks) and provide regular training on crane safety, fall protection, confined space entry, and other relevant topics.Monitor and enforce Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance.Investigate and document any safety incidents, near-misses, or injuries, and implement corrective actions as needed.Act as the primary safety liaison between on-site personnel, management, and regulatory agencies during inspections or audits.Assist with crane load capacity planning and site-specific safety challenges related to large crane lifts.QualificationsKnowledge of OSHA 1926 regulations and safety standardsOSHA 510 and/or 500 certificationStrong communication and leadership skillsCurrent First Aid and CPRDegree on Occupational Health and SafetyCertification from Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)
