In this role, you will support the Controller in managing the financial operations of our organization, with a focus on the unique challenges of the food industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.Why join us?Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.3-5 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, with a preference for experience in the food or manufacturing industry.Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., ERP systems) and advanced proficiency in Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong communication skills.Knowledge of food industry regulations and cost accounting principles is a plus.Job DetailsKey Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and industry regulations.Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, specifically tailored to our food production processes and market trends.Cost Accounting: Oversee cost accounting functions, including inventory valuation, product costing, and margin analysis to ensure profitability and efficient operations.Audit Coordination: Assist in internal and external audit processes, preparing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings in collaboration with the Controller.Compliance & Controls: Implement and maintain financial controls and compliance processes to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting department.Interested in hearing more?
