The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and fostering a relationship with our suppliers and vendors. You will also oversee the implementation of the supply and production strategies. Responsibilities: Planning and overseeing the work of Buyers and Purchasing AgentsHiring and training new staffDeveloping an organization's procurement rules and regulationsEstablishing guidelines on how often the company gets price quotes for items, the number of bids to accept and which vendors to considerBuying goods and services for the companyDiscussing contractsEvaluating quality, price, reliability, technical support and availability of goods and servicesQualifications: BS in Business or Supply Chain related field Manufacturing Experience Knowledge of procurement software and toolsInterpersonal skills such as teamwork and good listening skillsNegotiation skillsExcellent communication skillsAbility to manage time and organizeStrong leadership skills
