He/she is responsible for training and supervising the Assistant Negotiator(s) on media fundamentals, policies/procedures, and computer systems.NegotiationMaintain lowest rate structure available for all clients and track this cost data to ensure an accurate cost guideDeliver the most efficient costs while estimating the anticipated target audience delivery accuratelyMaintenanceNegotiate, adjust, and monitor schedules to ensure delivery to client goals and estimatesWork with Supervisor on account and various agency assignments to meet budget requirements, trp, and budget goalsProvide tracking reports and post-buy delivery analyses on quarterly and annual basesFulfill client requests, collect data and information regarding television ratings/programming and industry/ marketplace/ technology trendsExecute all buys within client media specifications by the assigned deadlines to ensure client air dates are metUpdate all current, on-air schedules to ensure station delivery within negotiated agreement and/or to respond to any new problems or opportunities that may developManage and monitor clearance of discrepancies and accounting functions for accounts and markets on a timely basisPost-analyze every buy to original audience estimates and negotiate any additional under delivery weight necessary to achieve goalsMaintain accurate records of buys, budgets, revisions, credits, etc.Review and resolve billing discrepancies on a timely basisWrite POV's for all market specific sponsorshipsMedia ExpertiseAttend internal and external media presentationsMeet with sales representatives and vendorsKeep abreast of industry trends through trade press and current eventsMaster the latest computer software used for Agency functionsCommunicate pertinent market information to Strategy and account group(s) as necessaryCompensation Range: $40,000 - $65,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time.
