MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Disassembly and assembly of refurbished and new molds.Ability to perform cleaning and inspection of mold plates and components. This includes visual inspection and dimensional reporting.Inspect and report findings on hot runner systems (including hot tip and valve gated systems) Including the ability to read electrical schematics along with utilizing hot runner controllers.Experience with reviewing BOMs, 2D drawings and specification sheets to locate and verify parts to assemble.Proficient in use of pneumatic air tools, calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.Capable of working with a team in a high precision environment.Use of hoist/crane and fork truck to move parts, materials, and mold assemblies.General housekeeping including cleaning up assigned work area.Proficient in running manual lathe and mill.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Must be mechanically inclined.Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a machine shop/manufacturing environment assembling tight tolerance parts.Individual must be results oriented, quick learner, respond to the urgent needs of the team and show a strong track record of meeting deadlines.Previous experience working in a mold making facility a plus!Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
