Content & Communications Lead/Copywriter ConsultantResponsibilitiesBrand VoiceWork with leadership to define a comprehensive and unique brand voice.Develop elevated copy that differentiates the brand in a crowded market and maintains a consistent and recognizable brand DNA.Social MediaDevelop engaging copy and content for all channels (as necessary - the social manager drafts most copy but occasionally needs guidance)Advise on copy strategy to increase conversion rates.EcommerceDevelop and refine email marketing copy to increase open and click-through rates. Provide updated website copy as needed, including SEO optimization, banners, CTAs, product descriptions, and lifestyle content.Draft customer service email templates and review customer emails to track pain points in customer communications.Minimum 5 emails/monthlyPR & EventsCreate press materials tailored to each region.Provide copy for event assets and brand animations.Brand EducationSynthesize product descriptions provided by Research & Development & Product Development for consumer-facing purposes and brand toolkits.Draft product launch training materials, brand decks, and one sheets.Write and design brand education assets targeted to regional needs.Update and maintain evergreen content to ensure brand voice consistency. Retail PartnersProvide gondola and display copy.Support retail partner marketing initiatives with email copy and social media captions as needed.Qualifications 16-20 hours per week on a part-time basisBachelor's Degree in English, Journalism, or Communications3-5 years copywriting experience in beauty, agency, or an in-house design department; luxury is a plusWorking in beauty/fashion/luxury life style brand is strongly preferred, but not required. Having a passion for beauty/life style branding is a must! Must be a strong ideator with an eye for detail, who can channel the best of beauty, fashion, lifestyle, design, and art. Be a strong critical thinker who can balance boldly original work with emotional resonance, clarity, and style to meet client needs.Demonstrated strong writing, copy editing and proofreading skills Demonstrated understanding of technologies supporting impactful digital marketing and social media efforts, including experience with leading reporting tools.Compelling portfolio that demonstrates high quality DTC copywriting across social & email, packaging, in-store, and e-retailStrong strategic and conceptual skills.Ability to drive for results in an-ever-changing work environment by way of established systems, workflows and processes. Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.Must be proactive and solution-oriented, with a strong sense of urgency to meet the needs of the client. Ability to self-prioritize and prioritize for others the key departmental tasks associated with producing brand specific workMust possess a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced agency environment with multidisciplinary teams.Able to adjust quickly to changes and deliver on tight deadlines.Strong interpersonal skills and able to communicate effectively not only as a copywriter, but also as a colleague, peer and key contributor to business goals.
