This role offers a unique opportunity to shape and lead our investor relations efforts, engage with investors, manage existing relationships, and develop new connections that drive our strategic initiatives and investment goals.Roles & ResponsibilitiesLead outreach efforts for equity financing initiatives and equity syndication to limited partners and co-investorsCultivate and manage relationships with institutional investors, registered investment advisors (RIAs), family offices, and other private equity / venture capital fundsSpearhead firmwide marketing initiatives, including digital marketing, maintaining marketing materials, and coordinating both virtual and in-person investor meetingsCollaborate with the investment team to monitor industry trends and investment activity, participate in weekly investment committee discussions, and engage in capital markets activities related to portfolio company financing and exit planningProvide detailed weekly updates on market developments and investor sentiment to the investment teamDesired Skills & ExperienceExceptional communication, sales, and marketing skills with a talent for relationship managementWillingness to travel for conferences and meetings, including occasional international travelOutgoing personality with a strong desire to contribute to HCC's growth and develop meaningful relationshipsDetail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks and initiativesAbility to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentProficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with experience in CRM systems like DealCloud or SalesforceGrasp of financial concepts and ability to effectively present informationBachelor's degree required2-4 years of relevant work experience post-collegeThe ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of post-university work experience, including 1 year in investor relations or a fundraising role.
