Security Architecture Engineer/Cloud Security Architect/Cybersecurity Architect (Full Time)Location Sunnyvale, CAHYBRID REMOTE Sponser : Do not like H1B, GC and USCJob Overview:The Security Architecture Engineer - Americas is a critical role within the Americas Cybersecurity team. This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing security architectures across the Americas region. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in security architecture principles, cloud security, and the ability to lead a team of architects in ensuring the secure design and implementation of IT systems and applications. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, product, and operations teams to integrate security into every aspect of technology landscape.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in security architecture, cybersecurity, or a related area. • Proven experience in designing and implementing secure architectures for complex systems and applications. • Strong understanding of security principles, frameworks, and standards, including Zero Trust, NIST, and ISO 27001. • Hands-on experience with security technologies such as firewalls, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and cloud security. • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically about security challenges. • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Preferred Qualifications: • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, SABSA, or equivalent. • Experience with cloud security architecture, particularly in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments. • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and tools. • Knowledge of financial technology (fintech) regulations and secure payment architectures.Main Responsibilitysolution architect with lot of experience on data sideKey Requirement/Must Have:Fintech industry knowledge? Good to have, not required.big tech firms, for example, like AWS, Google, Azure, or any other tech consulting firm who has a lot of data security experience and it has to be on the cloud.Key Requirements:Candidates should come from reputable tech firms with a strong focus on data security, particularly those with experience in cloud environments such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Azure (as "Ashley" might be a misinterpretation of Azure).The ideal candidate should possess extensive experience in online data security and cloud security, rather than traditional datacenter security roles.Experience with cloud infrastructure is not a primary requirement; the focus is on data security and cloud security practices, not necessarily cloud infrastructure management.Additional Preferences:While not mandatory, having some knowledge of the fintech industry or the payments space would be advantageous. This is more about having an awareness of the current trends and challenges in data security within the fintech/payment industry, rather than requiring extensive work experience in these domains.The candidate should demonstrate a strong sense of and knowledge about critical data security concerns specific to the payment industry.Clarifications:The role is primarily focused on the testing aspect of data security, with a secondary consideration for industry knowledge.Direct experience in the fintech or payments domain is not essential but is desirable.Concluding Notes:The priority is to hire candidates with proven expertise in cloud-based data security, who can effectively address security challenges in modern, cloud-enabled environments.Familiarity with the broader fintech landscape and its security implications is seen as a plus but not a prerequisite for the role.
