We have launched our B2B stabilization as a service business for reagents and will launch our D2C stabilization tools early access program this fall.To learn more about the company, please visit:About the OpportunityAs an Ambient Biosciences Product Development Engineer II, you will have a vital role in helping us scale and commercialize our stabilization process. We are looking for a versatile engineer with experience in new product development and strong fundamentals in applied physics and mathematics who is looking to apply their proven analytical ability in solving process and product design challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.This is a full-time on-site position.This position may require domestic travel to customer locations for product installations and troubleshooting.Key responsibilities include:Own product and/or sub-product lines within the Ambient stabilization tools portfolio and ensure on-time and on-quality delivery of manufactured productsDrive the development of new products and/or new product features from conceptualization, prototyping and initial testing through to production and validation for release.Direct lab scientist resources in performing experimental work and generate data to help our understanding of the stabilization process scaling parametersIdentify and implement process analytics tools for process mapping and real-time process controlDevelop and apply an understanding of capillary materials in sourcing and validating novel materials for use in the Ambient Bio's stabilization processTranslate critical-to-process parameters into engineering requirements and contribute towards the development of future stabilization chambers and process consumablesDevelop testing and validation plans and qualification metrics for the stabilization process and manufactured products and ensure implementation in our manufacturing and quality operationsSupervise one or more junior engineers, lab scientist or technician resourcesAbout You:You possess a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related fields with industry experience.Proficient developing 3D models and assemblies and 2D machine drawings (Fusion 360 experience strongly preferred).You have hands-on prototype fabrication and assembly experience.Experience working in a R&D or startup environment strongly preferredStrong fundamentals in applied physics and mathematics, specifically in heat and mass transfer.Experience with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis.Experience with microcontroller and/or PLC programming.Experience working with vacuum based systems strongly preferredExperience with lyophilization equipment and process is a plusEEO & Employment Eligibility:Ambient Biosciences is committed to equal opportunity in the terms and conditions of employment for all employees and job applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity or gender expression, national origin, disability or veteran status.
