Priority Veteran DivisionCommunity InitiativesPosition: Assistant Program Director, Priority VeteranReports To: Program Director, Priority VeteranJob Summary Provides programmatic management to effectively provide Homeless Prevention and Rapid Re-housing services to qualifying Veteran families.Responsibilities Provide supervision and oversight to staff, ensuring high quality services are provided using the Housing First modelAssist in the oversight of additional SSVF services including Shallow Subsidy, Health Care Navigation and Legal Services.Complete case record reviews to ensure quality and compliance with CARF and federal standards.Collaborate with Program Director on developing Continuous Quality Improvement outcomes and ensures program sites are meeting these outcomesEnsure program sites are in compliance with SSVF grant and CARF accreditation standards Review for accuracy and approve all temporary financial assistance requestsReview for accuracy and approve case certifications and ensure client data is accurately entered into Service Point.Oversee program operations and outcomes of all program activities to ensure objectives are metOversee and ensure PV Policies and Procedures and CM Guide are updated and in complianceRepresents PV program in community meetings Ensure program operations, data and reports are accurateProvide staff support for crisis interventions and client concerns Other duties as assignedQualificationsKnowledge & SkillsProven supervisory experience and ability to manage a team of staffAble to have crucial conversations and provide feedback on employee performanceKnowledge of case management best practices, including trauma-informed care and person-first approachExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsExcellent computer skills to include Microsoft Office suite and Client Management SystemAble to work as team memberKnowledge of federal, state and local veteran and military family programs preferredEducation/ExperienceMaster's degree in a social work, counseling or social service-service related fieldLicensed preferred Minimum five years' relevant professional work experience including supervisory and program management experience.Military experience preferredWorking ConditionsServices are provided in office, in the community, and in client homesOccasional afterhours/weekend workTravel requiredRequirementsMust meet and maintain eligibility requirements to be insured by UWCA's insurance Valid driver's licenseReliable transportationProof of automobile insurance commensurate with State lawBackground checks to include criminal record, drug screen & TB testingCell phoneAbility to lift 30 lbs
