Job Title: Construction Manager - Public Water AuthorityJob Location: Clackamas, ORSalary: Competitive Salary DOE, Benefits, 401k Match, Pension PlanRequirements: 5+ Years Construction Management experience with water/wastewater infrastructureLocal Water Authority seeks an experienced Construction manager to oversee construction projects and supervises inspection and technical staff within the District. Responsibilities include organizing work activities, providing technical guidance, resolving disputes with contractors and stakeholders, and coordinating construction and inspection efforts.Essential DutiesSupervise, train, and advise staff on technical aspects, methods, and procedures.Manage contracts for District projects, ensuring compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.Interpret and explain construction standards, regulations, and engineering plans to contractors.Coordinate with utilities and regulatory agencies on permit requirements and represent the District at meetings.Review progress payments, engineering plans, and specifications; prepare change orders.Prepare reports on construction activities and maintain records of changes in plans.Conduct construction meetings and respond to inquiries from staff, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders.Perform other duties as required.Minimum QualificationsKnowledge of construction management, inspection, engineering principles, and customer service.Understanding of laws, regulations, codes, and standards related to construction.Skill in supervising staff, contract administration, and problem-solving in construction settings.Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.5+ years in construction management or related roles, with a bachelor's degree preferred.
