This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of maintenance professionals in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our food manufacturing equipment and systems. The successful candidate will have a strong background in equipment maintenance, budgeting, mechanical systems, and hydraulic systems. This role is pivotal in ensuring the longevity and reliability of our manufacturing operations and driving continuous improvement initiatives.Responsibilities:Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods to ensure the reliability and efficiency of manufacturing equipment and systems.Lead, manage, and develop a team of maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and systems to identify and address potential issues proactively.Manage maintenance budget effectively, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and cost-efficiency.Work closely with production and operations teams to minimize downtime and enhance productivity.Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for equipment repairs and maintenance services as required.Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and quality standards.Drive continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance operations, utilizing data and metrics to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions.Oversee the maintenance of mechanical and hydraulic systems, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.Provide technical expertise and support to the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex maintenance issues.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a maintenance management role within the manufacturing industry.Proven experience in managing and maintaining mechanical and hydraulic systems.Strong knowledge of equipment maintenance procedures and best practices.Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to develop and motivate high-performing teams.Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams across the organization.Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Proficiency in using maintenance management software and systems.Commitment to upholding the highest standards of safety and quality.Certification or training in maintenance management or related field would be an advantage.Interested in hearing more?
