The Internal Audit Director is a key role, acting as an integral client contact and also being a resource to the staff. As a regional firm, at times the Internal Audit Director will have to roll up their sleeves and be involved in testing of various audit areas/control environments!Job FunctionManaging multiple client engagements (the position will be responsible for managing all aspects of the internal audit department), interfacing with the clients and keeping the audits on trackAssist audit staff with audit areas (whether performing work directly or working with staff) - we are a hands on firm and dedicate a tremendous level of time training and elevating our staffFilling in on engagements when appropriate staffing is not in placeDevelop audit plans/approaches, testing strategies, etc. for each engagement in conjunction with partner and other staff membersServing as key client relationship manager for the internal audit departmentAssisting with staff scheduling of engagementsJob Requirements12 to 15 years of audit/internal audit experience in public accounting, preferably with non-profit organizations and/or schools.CPA/CIA licensureIT Audit Certification is a plusApplied working knowledge of US GAAP and GAAS.
