Position Overview: The Tax Supervisor is responsible for providing tax planning, consulting, compliance, and advisory services to a diverse base of individual, business, and non-profit clients. The position requires strong technical knowledge in diverse areas of taxation, including commercial, construction, non-profit, S-Corp, 1040, 1120, partnership, pass-through entities, private client services, and HNW. The position also requires a comprehensive knowledge of tax software, including CCH Engagement, ProSystems Fx, and K-1s. The Tax Supervisor must be proficient in tax research and have the ability to mentor and develop staff.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day operations of the tax department, including monitoring, scheduling, and supervising the work of staff.Provide tax planning, consulting, compliance, and advisory services to a wide variety of clients.Define, develop, and maintain strong relationships with clients.Evaluate tax scenarios to identify potential issues and provide resolution.Conduct research to identify and analyze complex tax issues.Prepare tax returns for individual, business, and non-profit clients.Mentor staff on tax issues and advise on research strategies.Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations.Participate in reviews and client engagements.Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.CPA or equivalent certification required.Minimum of 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.Familiarity with UHNW clients and their complex tax matters.Demonstrated experience in leading and managing team of staff.Advanced knowledge of and experience with currentBenefitsLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
