Our client, a local Commercial REIT and Acquisition company, serving in several US states, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Property Accounting to oversee all property accounting functions and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting related to the extensive property portfolio. This position reports to the COO. The portfolio ranges from 3M Sq. With about 100 properties.The ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:• A Bachelor's degree in accounting.• A minimum of 10 (TEN) Years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 3-4 years in a management role within COMMERCIAL Real Estate• The candidate will be a team player, and be able to lead a team of 3 property accountants, fostering a culture of accountability, excellence, and adherence to financial practices.• Accounting principal experience such as managing all A/P and A/R, CAM recs, tenant billing, and collections.• Experience with reading, understanding, and interpreting Lease Agreements, including Gross and NNN.• Checking for accuracy of leases and acquisitions.• CAM rec experience is required.• Property Management support experience is required.• Budgeting and forecasting experience is a must.• Strategic planning and decision-making processes.• Due Diligence for all acquisitions and dispositions is required.This position requires knowledge of Appfolio.Day to day duties will vary.This position will provide financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly and annual level.Reviewing and approving of financial reports, and ensuring accuracy.Budgeting and forecasting for all properties inlucind monitoring and analyzing variances.This position will manage and mentor the accounting team and provide a valued work environment.Collaborate with property managers, offering financial support and analysis aligned with conservative fiscal policies.Ensuring all property transactions are accurate.Development and ensuring of internal control and reconciliations.Please note that Compensation and Benefits are set by our clients and Real Estate Personnel can not be held responsible for any changes in benefits or final compensation offered for a position.
