The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, experience in federal and state courts, and a desire to engage in a variety of practice areas. Experience with business disputes and contract law is a plus.Key Responsibilities:Class Actions:Manage and litigate class action cases, including wage and hour, privacy, and other relevant areas.Conduct thorough legal research and analysis on class action issues and complex litigation matters.Draft and file legal documents, including complaints, motions, and briefs.Prepare and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.Business Disputes:Assist in expanding the firm's practice into new areas, such as business disputes between biotechs and pharmaceutical companies.Handle contract disputes and business-related litigation.Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies for new practice areas.Case Management:Oversee case preparation and management from inception through resolution.Conduct discovery, including drafting and responding to interrogatories, requests for production, and depositions.Analyze case materials and provide strategic recommendations to the legal team.Client Interaction:Communicate with clients to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns.Develop and maintain strong client relationships.Legal Writing and Research:Produce high-quality legal research and writing, including legal memoranda, case briefs, and motions.Stay updated on legal trends and developments relevant to class actions and business disputes.Qualifications:Education and Experience:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Admitted to practice in California.Strong experience in class action litigation is highly preferred.Experience in business disputes, including contract law, is a plus.Proven ability to manage complex litigation and multiple cases simultaneously.
