Benefits include Medical, Dental, Health, PTO, Profit Sharing, 401K match and a gym membership!Job DetailsThe Sr. Payroll Specialist will be responsible for accurately processing the payroll for our employees in accordance with company policies and government regulationsThe role requires a strong understanding of payroll procedures and regulations, excellent mathematical skills, ability to process payroll in a timely and accurately and maintain confidentiality regarding the informationCollect approved time and attendance information from supervisors, review and verify for accuracy on a weekly basisReview and verify commissions, differential pay, variable pay, and any other special pay each weekCalculate and verify pay calculations, benefit deductions, tax computations, garnishments deductions, and child support deductions on a weekly basisProcess direct deposit uploads to bank and manual checksUpload payroll entries to the general ledgerProcess pre-notes for new direct deposit requestsEnsure compliance with Federal and State payroll tax regulations and reportingAssist with wage and employment verificationsManage withholding and payment of garnishments, child support and other court ordered payroll deductionsDistribute payroll tax information timely to appropriate personnel for paymentRespond to payroll related questions from employees and managersInvestigate and resolve any discrepancies in payrollProvide training to managers and employees on time and attendance and employee self-service softwareCollect, verify and prepare year end schedule of PTO pay out amounts, personal mileage on corporate vehicles, corporate paid gym dues and other noncash income for inclusion in payrollAssist with payroll system maintenance and set upWork with accounting and payroll providers to ensure proper filing of quarterly and annual payroll reports including Form 941, Form 940, W-2s as well as state filingsSet up new hire employee files and update employee files as necessaryPrepare information for annual worker's compensation auditGenerate and distribute payroll reports to management as neededStay up-to-date regarding changes in payroll laws, regulations and best practicesCollaborate with HR and accounting staff to ensure payroll data integrity and accuracyAssist with special projects and perform other duties as assignedQualificationsWe are seeking someone who has a strong attention to detail, can consistently produce accurate work and works efficiently in a fast-paced environmentProficient using automated payroll processing softwareComprehensive knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations including IRS, ERISA, FLSA, etcProficient in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelStrong numerical aptitude and attention to detailHigh integrity and ethicsAbility to maintain a high degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and discretionProven ability to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customersExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenProven ability to work efficiently and effectively as well as excellent organizational skillsAbility to collaborate and build relationships across all levels of the organization and with individuals from a diverse backgroundAbility to prioritize and multitask effectivelyAbility to collect, analyze data and articulate sound and reliable conclusionsInterested in hearing more?
