The types of projects include infrastructure upgrades for commercial buildings, universities, healthcare facilities, and sports and entertainment venues. The ideal candidate will have experience in field surveys, system selection as well as the development of engineering drawings and specifications required for bidding and construction. Experience in a consulting engineering environment is desired.Ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and client-centric attitude.Educational Qualification and Experience10+ years' experience Ability to perform detailed punch-list constituting construction observation reports Experience in reviewing submittals and responding to RFIsAbility to review work of othersPerforms Heat Gain calculations using Trane Trace, HAP and/or Elite load calculation software and can teach othersSizes and selects HVAC equipment Completes psychrometric analysis of dehumidification process Able to size and layout Mechanical equipment rooms Identifies chase requirementsProficient in air balancing analysisProficient with HVAC equipment layoutsSizes and lays out HVAC ducts and can teach othersProficient with domestic water service and distribution pipingProficient at sizing sanitary waste and vent pipingKnowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit, Trane TraceAbility to meet tight deadlinesStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to work independently as well as supervisor others to produce desired resultsBackground in mechanical utilities (chilled water, compressed air, natural gas, plumbing, fire protection, HVAC, kitchen systems, areas of public assembly)Must be abreast of latest trends in mechanical engineering, ASHRAE, Florida Energy Code, and NFPA Knowledge of IAQ is a plusBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering PE registration requiredInterested in hearing more?
