MAXAM Tire North America - National Distribution ManagerPosition Report- President of Maxam TirePosition will be located full time in Maxam Tire Warehouse in Memphis TN or Houston, TX.Summary/ObjectiveMaxam Tire, a subsidiary of the Sailun Group, is a global manufacturer and distributor of specialty off-the-road tires.The National Distribution Manager is responsible for supporting our business strategy centered around our core mission of being a "Business Solutions Provider" and our vision of "Ensuring the Quality of the Customer Experience" in the Specialty Tire market segment. Coordination will be required with Maxam Sales and Shared Service Supply Chain group. This position works directly with Maxam entity President, V.P. of Sales and Marketing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and the Shared Service group of Sailun.Essential FunctionsOverall responsibility and management of the Distribution and Operations (CND and USA).Develop KPIs and report monthly to Senior management.Ensure safety procedures and protocols are followed at all warehouses and reviewed so that changes and/or upgrades can be made.Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.Oversee Outbound Freight Vendor onboarding and freight invoice approval.Ensure all Outbound Logistics procedures are established and being followed.Provide support to several projects from an operational, financial and resource standpoint.Conduct meetings with direct reports to ensure the smooth operation of all processes.Oversee facility design, improvements and contracts.Works well under pressure and makes deadlines.Be an active coach and mentor for staff where and when needed.Perform additional assignments as required by the needs of the operational unit, company or as directed by the President.Assist Warehouse Managers with recruiting and selecting new employees, ensure proper on-boarding is scheduled for new employees and documented, review progress reports for new employees.Working with planners on inventory control and flow.Other duties as assigned.Travel· National and International travel are requiredSkills and QualificationsCoordination, Analyzing Information, Process Improvement, Initiative, Customer Client Focus, Goal Achievement Oriented, Strategic Thinking, Managing Processes, Time-Management and Safety Management. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, communicate effectively with other employees and managers within the company. Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products, including excel, word and power point. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong leadership and with the ability to achieve results. Good financial and business awareness. Teamwork, Interpersonal Skills, Following Direction, Flexibility/Adaptability, Listening, Positive Attitude, Patience.Required Education & Experience:Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business or related field.10+ years' work experience in distribution management10+ years' work experience in operations or facility management.Experience in budgeting, project management, and supervision.Experience working with third party logistics providers.Ecpeince working with OSHA and Canada's health & safery requirementsAbility to lead and develop a team of staff members at various levels and within various disciplines.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth savings accountPaid time offbonus
