Risant Health, a Kaiser Foundation start-up charitable healthcare organization, is looking for an HR Business Partner to based in Washington, DC.Risant Health was created to expand and accelerate the adoption of value-based care in diverse, multi-payer, multi-provider, community-based health system environments. Risant Health's vision is to improve the health of millions of people by increasing access to value-based care and coverage and raising the bar for value-based approaches that prioritize patient quality outcomes.Geisinger is the first health system to join Risant Health to expand access to value-based care in more communities across the country. In addition to Geisinger, Risant Health will expand its impact by acquiring and connecting a portfolio of likeminded, nonprofit, value-oriented community-based health systems anchored in their respective communities.Health systems that become part of Risant Health will continue to operate as regional or community-based health systems serving and meeting the needs of their communities, providers and health plans while gaining expertise, resources, and support through Risant Health's value-based platform. Risant Health will operate separately and distinctly from Kaiser Permanente's core integrated care and coverage model while building upon Kaiser Permanente's nearly 80 years of expertise in value-based care.Description of FunctionRisant Health's Human Resources function supports Risant's executive leadership by providing an HR Business Partner (HRBP) capability. The HRBP provides HR strategic leadership, oversees HR Operations, including payroll, and enables access to HR expertise on a range of specialized topics called Center of Excellence (COE).The HRBP capability is specific to the Risant entity and does not extend to the member organizations within Risant Health. As Risant Health is a start-up, new organization, HR function will drive the build of the HR capabilities and be asked to be a thought partner to the Risant Executive team on the HR model design, including decision on which HR capabilities are prioritized for "in-house" build and which capabilities should be outsourced.Position Summary The HR Business Partner will report directly to the CFO of Risant Health. The role involves providing strategic HR support, running day-to-day HR operations, crafting HR-related policies and strategy, and supporting other Risant functions. The HR Business Partner will track and complete key HR tasks and support the growth of Risant through building of the HR function, workforce development, and supporting other emerging business consulting needs. The HR Business Partner will contribute to the growth and success of the organization by leveraging an agile approach in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving start-up environment.Principal Responsibilities The HR Business Partner will be responsible for three broad groupings of HR tasks as well as general business consulting:HR Center of Excellence Leadership (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Employment Policies, Employee Relations, Benefits Strategy & Design)HR Operations (PEO Coordination, Payroll Coordination, Benefits Administration, New Employee Onboarding, Record Keeping)HR Business Partner Advisory (Organization Design Consultation, Job Description Development, Coordination of Compensation Reviews, Provision of HR Expertise)General Business Consulting & Support (Business Consulting, Process Improvement, Project Impact Leadership)Short and Long-Term Accountabilities The HR Business Partner will be responsible for ensuring performance is aligned with organizational expectations and measures. Specific measures of success on a short-term (1-3 years) and long-term (3+) years basis will include, but are not limited to:Efficiently and effectively supporting the CFO in managing payroll and other principal responsibilities.Enabling Risant to build crucial in-house HR capabilities.Enabling Risant to find and hire critical talent.Offering a utility player and self-starter mentality.Promoting a culture of leaning and self-improvement by establishing processes to collect and act upon performance feedback.Removing obstacles that impact implementation of Risant's HR agenda.Driving execution of multiple workstreams and projects as directed by the CFO.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Business, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Operations or related field (flexible)Master's degree preferred. At least ten (10) years of experience in an HR Business Partner or generalist role or working across multiple HR disciplines.Minimum five (5) years of experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports. Additional equivalent work experience in a directly related field may be substituted for the degree requirement.Strong ability to be adaptable and work proactively in a dynamic start-up environment.Experience with designing and implementing incentive programs, including identifying metrics and target-setting.Experience with payroll systems and processes, benefits administration, and employment laws and regulations.Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.This position has a target base salary of $160,000 to $211,200 and is eligible for incentive compensation, comprehensive health, wellness, time off, savings, and retirement benefits, as well as relocation support, as applicable.
