Job Title: BusinessAnalyst (Financial and Reporting)ContractLength: 14 Month Contract (Strong possibility for year over year extension)Job SummaryThis financial and reporting business analyst will join an active IT team supporting one of Florida's largest public agencies in the implementation of their new financial management system. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with a desire to be curious and learn the requirements of the business and technical teams. It is necessary to have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to lead the transformation of FTE's financial processes, books, and records to align with the new statewide accounting platform. A background in financial system management, support, implementation, migration or enhancement is preferred for this position.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain detailed current and future state process maps of the agency financial operations, identifying opportunities for improvement and alignment with Florida PALM system requirements.Lead the identification, documentation, and optimization of the agency financial processes.Conduct a comprehensive analysis and reconciliation of the agency Chart of Accounts (COA) to align with Florida PALM.Oversee the migration of financial data to the new system, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.Develop and implement new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for financial operations.Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and data accuracy.Collaborate with the Florida PALM Project Team and the agency stakeholders to ensure successful transition.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Minimum 3 years of experience in financial accounting and reporting.Demonstrated AdvancedExcel SkillsDemonstrated process mapping experienceProven experience in process mapping and improvement.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in financial systems and data analysis tools.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Oracle or Transformation ImplementationsPower Query, PowerPivot is a plusProcess modeling software such as IBM Blueworks or VisioAbout Eight ElevenAt Eight Eleven, our business is people.
