At MGM Resorts, we seek individuals like YOU to create unique and show-stopping for our guests.The JobIt is the responsibility of the Kitchen Technician; you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs of kitchen refrigeration racks and systems. You will also play a vital role in our mission to own the guest's experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.STARTING PAY: $35.45 per hourThe Day-to-dayPerforms maintenance and repairs of large & small kitchen equipment.Repairs of plumbing and associated equipment i.e. gas line hook up, filter maintenance, equipment parts replacement, etc.Maintains the kitchen shop and par levels for all parts associated with the specific equipment that is located throughout the propertyMaintains the Pollution Control Units and hood systemsEscorts the hood/PCU cleaning company on a monthly basis and keep track of recordsEnsures that new equipment is hooked up according to the specifications and/or architectural plansPerforms routine maintenance to all kitchen equipment as a part of a zone maintenance programWork with HotSOS or equivalent work order system to track and memorialize all repairs, etc.Provides updates to management on the condition of equipmentPerforms maintenance of all refrigeration rack units throughout the facilityPerforms maintenance and repairs of refrigeration units, dish washers and ice machines.Maintains operation, maintenance, and repair of all beverage conduit, F&B specific lighting, CO2 monitors, walk-in coolers, etc.Performs maintenance and repairs of pumps and pressurized water systems.Replaces gaskets and seals on a regular basisPerforms additional job duties as determined by management.The Ideal CandidateAbility to work as a part of a team in a high-stress and high-volume environmentAbility to work in and adapt to a dynamic and frequently changing environmentAbility to adhere to and execute established department policies and proceduresAbility to work under pressure while being able to pay attention to detailsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to maintain professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to department and company standardsPossess intrapersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contactsMust be able to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written formsMinimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.At least five (5) years of experience working as a commercial kitchen technicianUniversal CFCEffectively communicate in English, both oral and written formsAt least 21 years oldPerks & BenefitsWellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentallyAccess to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more.Free meals in our employee dining roomFree parkingFree uniformHealthcareProfessional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the communityAre you ready to JOIN THE SHOW?
