Please visit us at to learn more about CooperSurgical and the benefits of becoming a member of our team.Essential Functions:Assist Corporate Counsel and business partners with drafting, review and management of template, commercial, non-disclosure, consulting and similar agreementsAssist business partners with contract renewals and modificationsMaintenance and filing of templates and executed contracts, including docketing of expiration and renewal deadlinesManage litigation-related inquiries, including: investigation of facts and circumstances; coordination of outside counsel, internal parties and insurance carrier; responses to subpoenas and records requests; and preservation, collection, review and production of documents as necessaryOrganize and track information to produce internal quarterly litigation reportsReview and approval of certain sponsorship activities and other related activitiesAssist with the development and implementation of corporate policies and proceduresConduct legal research in various areas of law related to the healthcare and medical device industries, as well as those related to clinical laboratoriesPerforms additional duties or assignments as directed by managementQualifications:Bachelor's Degree and Paralegal Certificate as recognized by the American Bar AssociationMinimum of 7 years of paralegal experience either in law firm or in-house environment focused on contracts and litigationSolution-oriented individual with the ability to prioritize, analyze situations from both a legal and commercial perspective, and handle multiple responsibilities with little to no supervisionKnowledge and understanding of contract terms and an understanding of the legal and business implications of contract provisionsSelf-motivated individual who has excellent organizational, and verbal and written communication skills; and meticulous attention to detail and quality of work productSelf-motivated, energetic and innovative team playerKnowledge of Sunshine Act, Stark and Federal and State Anti-Kickback laws a plusStrong computer literacy skills with Word, MS Outlook, PowerPoint and ExcelPassing of background check which may include verification of prior employment, criminal conviction history, educational and driving recordsTo all agencies: Please, no phone calls or emails to any employee of CooperSurgical about this opening.
