Ainsley Search Group is hiring a Logistics Specialist with experience administrate exportation for a Global Specialty Chemical Manufacturer located in the Chester County. The ideal candidate will report to the Supply Chain manager and work collaboratively with Customer Service Team, Production, Procurement, Inventory and Warehouse to support, administrate internal import, export operations. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with lucrative salary and competitive benefit, in addition, company would like to develop this individual to be the Supply Chain Manager within the Supply Chain division. Responsibilities: Report to SCM and collaborate with CSR, Production, Procurement, Inventory and Warehouse to streamline international freight operations (ocean freight, import, export). Ensure compliance with regulation on chemical products shipment, both domestically and internationally, including dangerous goods, support logistic audits as needed. Administrate, process, management and update document and paperwork pertaining importation, exportation, custom clearance, etc., ensure proper documentation and compliance. Collaborate closely with import/export carriers to ensure cost control, improve carrier performance, and maintain and develop relations with carriers, negotiation with carriers on shipping terms and conditions as needed. Prepare periodical reports and audits on freight suppliers, discuss with management regarding supplier's performance, KPI discrepancy, etc. Track and maintain freight invoices, perform invoice audits and resolve outstanding invoice with accounting team. Ensure compliance to shipping regulations, ensure compliance with international trade regulations. Administrate freight quoting process on each shipment, recommend the best routes and suppliers based on customer order requirement. Manage and develop relationship with suppliers, investigate and resolve complaints and claim issues for international and domestic freight; file and track claims with freight providers as needed. Monitor shipment status between terminals, transloading companies, plants, warehouses, occasionally travel to other warehouses as needed. Support all other logistic process as needed and analyze process to recommend area of improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics or related field 3+ years of tenure as a Freight Specialist, Logistics Specialist, Transportation Administrator within manufacturing, logistics, distribution industries, exposure to Chemical industry is a plus. Solid experience in Excel, and ERP/MRP systems. Able to multi-task and work under minimal supervision; strong in analytical skills and forward-thinking skills.Strong in problem solving and communication skills, attention to details and able to follow up and follow through the logistic process. Able to pass background check and drug screen.
