Digital Ad Operations SpecialistThe Post and Courier | King & ColumbusPosition Overview:The Digital Ad Operations Specialist will coordinate the trafficking, internal communication and reporting around owned and operated (O&O) digital advertising placements across various platforms. This position will traffic/place digital ads on through Google Ad Manager (GAM), our e-newsletters, custom email marketing, contesting platforms, branded content and more. This position will provide accurate and timely campaign fulfillment and communicate updates on campaigns regularly to internal stakeholders to share with clients. The Digital Ad Operations Specialist will produce reporting on these digital advertising campaigns and will troubleshoot digital ad system issues as needed. This position supports The Post and Courier and its affiliate brands across the State of South Carolina and is a hybrid role that should be based in Charleston, Columbia, or Greenville.Responsibilities:Execute digital ad trafficking across multiple platforms including , e-newsletters, email marketing, branded content, and contesting platforms for display and video adsManage campaign setup, monitoring, and optimization using Google Ad Manager (GAM) and other ad serving platformsProcess digital ad insertion orders, facilitate campaign communication, and generate reports using the company's order management systemMonitor and report campaign performance metrics, pacing, and placement issues to internal stakeholders in a timely mannerEnsure all digital ad creative (static, animated, and video) meets platform-specific technical specifications through collaboration with graphic designersProduce comprehensive campaign reports, providing data-driven insights to measure and improve campaign successImplement client-focused campaign management strategies to enhance satisfaction, retention, and renewal ratesProvide technical expertise on various digital advertising platforms used for owned and operated advertisingConduct digital advertising inventory forecasting and reporting to support sales and planning effortsContribute to the improvement of workflows and processes, identifying optimization opportunities for campaign performance and operational efficiencyResolve campaign fulfillment issues and ad server discrepancies through collaboration with ad operations teams and developersSupport the digital agency campaign fulfillment team by managing programmatic, targeted email, and paid social ad campaigns as neededEducation and Experience Requirements:BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, business or a similar field strongly preferredMinimum of two years of experience in digital ad operations, digital marketing, or a similar roleExperience with Google Ad Manager (GAM) or other similar ad serving platforms preferredExperience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact) preferredProficiency in using project management and analytics toolsCandidate must have strong verbal and written communication skills
