Interim Global Head of Compensation & BenefitsDuration: 6 monthsRate: $275k - $325k base + variable (pro rata)Organization profile: global independent, investment management companyLocation: New York Metropolitan AreaThis is an interim global position responsible for designing, implementing and managing compensation and benefits programs across the organization globally whilst the organization goes through a permanent recruitment process.This role will work at both strategic and tactical levels to design and deliver upon the firm's compensation and benefits strategies. The role will require the ability to provide strategic insights and thought leadership across a wide array of compensation and benefit topics, oversee a series of consultants and vendors, partner with human resources, finance, technology, legal and risk professionals as well as be at the forefront of delivering an exceptional employee experience.Key responsibilities: Lead all aspects of firmwide compensation and benefits programs, with the intent of enabling the firm to attract and retain talent globallyDevelop an overall compensation strategy, including the design and implementation of deferred compensation plans, sales incentive compensation plans, and variable compensation plans linked to the performance of the firm's alternative investment productsProvide compensation insights and advice to senior leadership based on data-driven analyses, including regular monthly financial reporting as well as industry benchmarking and survey data, to ensure the firm is aligning compensation practice with its performance-based cultureProactively seek to evolve the full suite of global benefits offerings, in collaboration with key stakeholders, to elevate the employee experience while optimizing the firm's substantial benefits spendDevelop a strategy to provide comprehensive support for global employees, including immigration and international mobility programs, to ensure the firm's continued ability to be competitive in a global talent marketplaceEnsure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements of employee compensation and benefit programs globally, in close collaboration with internal stakeholders and outside vendorsKey requirements:Significant experience of complex global compensation and benefit programs, including compensation design and financial services compensation structures.Demonstrated extensive track record of successfully leading a compensation, benefits or HR/People function team in a global company.Exposure to investment management and alternative investment management. Specific experience within a financial services company is preferred.Deep knowledge of benchmarking tools and providers to integrate into various people processes.Experience with both compensation and benefits, including both designing short and long-term incentive programs as well as leading benefits vendors, strategy and communications.
