Job Summary: The Patient Access Manager will oversee outpatient and ED registration as the facility transitions to a critical access hospital. This role involves managing 15 direct reports and ensuring efficient patient access operations. Experience with critical access hospitals and upcoming systems transitions is highly desirable.Travel Requirements: Travel on Saturday (return home) and Sunday (return to site). On-site for 2 weeks, then 1 week home. Travel expenses covered, and furnished apartment provided.Key Responsibilities:Team Management: Supervise patient access representatives directly, providing guidance and performance evaluations.Operational Oversight: Manage outpatient and emergency department registration processes. Implement and refine protocols to enhance efficiency.Insurance Coordination: Oversee insurance verification and resolve any related issues in coordination with the finance team.Compliance: Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.Patient Experience: Address and resolve patient concerns, aiming to improve overall satisfaction.Data Management: Analyze access data to identify trends and drive process improvements.Collaboration: Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams for seamless patient care.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field; Master's preferred.Experience: 3-5 years in patient access management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. Critical access hospital experience is a plus.Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Proficiency with healthcare management systems (MediTech, CPSI TruBridge experience preferred).
