The Office Manager/Paralegal role involves managing daily office operations while providing legal support to attorneys. This position requires a blend of administrative skills and legal knowledge to ensure the efficient functioning of the office and effective handling of legal tasks. This position will assist the attorney in all aspects of preparation for personal injury litigation from case inception through closing. This position is responsible for the coordination of all correspondence, research, scheduling, and client communications necessary for each case.Please note, this is a full-time, in office role based in Manhattan. We are looking for applicants who can begin immediately. We are not currently accepting students or out of state applicants at this time. We provide market-competitive pay that aligns with your experience and skills.Key Responsibilities:Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.Manage case deadlines and track critical dates to ensure timely filings and compliance.Communicate with clients to gather information, update on case status, and provide legal guidance within scope.Assist with discovery processes, including responding to discovery requests.Review legal documents and conduct legal research as required.Prepare and draft legal documents, such as complaints, summons, etc.Assist in assembling trial binders, exhibits, and appendices for court filings, depositions, and mediations.Collaborate with supervising attorneys and provide general administrative support.Provide administrative support to executives and staff, including preparing reports, presentations, and documents.Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong attention to detail and time management abilities.Associate or bachelor's degree in paralegal studies, Legal Studies, or a related field.Ability to draft legal documents, including complaints, motions, and settlement agreements.Proficiency in using data software and tools, such as Excel, and modeling databases is a mustStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise mannerStrong grasp of Excel functions, formulas, and data analysis tools. Proficiency in creating and managing complex spreadsheets, using pivot tables, and performing data visualization is essential.Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills
