See .Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller at Micropore, Inc., reporting directly to the CFO. The role involves collaborating with and overseeing a small off-site outsourced finance and accounting team, as well as working directly with the on-site production planning and operations teams and the on-site administration/HR manager. The Senior Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller will be responsible for financial reporting, planning, analysis, tax, compliance and cash management and will support the CEO and CFO in lender and shareholder relations, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.Key Responsibilities:• Assist in the preparation and review of accurate and timely GAAP-compliant financial statements.• Help design, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure the integrity of financial data and compliance with regulatory requirements.• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis.• Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial projections, and provide ongoing monitoring and analysis of financial performance.• Analysis and monitoring of manufacturing costs and process improvements and investments.• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support during audit processes.• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in accounting, compliance and administrative operations.• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, and assist in the preparation of tax filings.• Assist with reporting to, and overall relationship management with, lenders and shareholders.• Assist with administration of QuickBooks and other software and IT systems.• Assist with vendor contract tracking and compliance, A/P, A/R, and collections.• Assist with coordination of critical corporate record-keeping and legal compliance.Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field• 5-7 years of progressive accountant / accounting experience• CPA certification preferred• Prior manufacturing experience, including relevant costing methods and inventory valuation• Prior corporate budgeting / forecasting experience• Prior experience with lender and shareholder relations, including supporting compliance with loan agreements and corporate governing documents• Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks highly preferred) and Microsoft Excel• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail• Strong verbal and written communication skillsCompensation and Benefits• Dependent on experience, ranging from $80,000-120,000 annual salary, plus bonus opportunity• Eligibility for strong benefits package (PTO, health plan, 401k, etc.)
