In addition to listed and private companies, the firm's clients include mutual funds, ETFs, stock exchanges and membership associations.We are currently seeking early career candidates for an Analyst position to join our US Corporate Governance Consulting team. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of being in the Stamford, CT office 2-3 days per week with the team.Position Details:In this role you will be an integral member of our US Corporate Governance Consulting Advisory team. You will be working closely with senior members of the team to support the team's work in delivering clients with insights and updates on governance-related matters on an ongoing basis, including the assessment of best practices and emerging trends as they relate to each client's specific circumstances.As part of its consulting engagements, the team provides guidance on the full range of corporate governance matters, anticipating potential challenges to minimize the risk of shareholder activism and alignment of clients' governance profiles with market expectations. Parallel to assessing potential risks from emerging trends, the team provides strategic, practical advice to help clients make informed decisions on such issues as corporate governance, board-related matters, executive compensation, and sustainability.Key responsibilities may vary but will generally include:Support and collaborate with team members on various projects, including research requests; assist in assessing, analyzing, and preparing materials that summarize potential impact to clients/our servicesContribute to the client experience by working on client projects and deliverablesSet up, format, and prepare client-facing reports through entry and review of relevant data into applicable programs; streamline process as appropriateTrack, review, and consolidate information from various sources into centralized locationSupport, and over time manage, client deliverable timelinesKeep abreast of broader corporate governance developments, trends and shifts in views (investors, regulators, proxy advisors, activists and shareholder proponents, industry peers, etc.); assist in communicating relevant findings internally and externallyRequirements:Bachelor's degree with a strong GPA from an accredited college or universityHighly engaged and motivated self-starter with the ability to think critically and work independentlyStrong proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly Excel (e.g., advanced formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) and PowerPoint (creating new and compelling slides, adding tables and graphics, changing fonts and colors, etc.)Comfort in communicating with, presenting to, and influencing senior leadership, with the ability to present new ideasExceptional project/time management and organizational skills with ability to meet multiple deadlinesStrong sense of accountability and ownership, with high level of attention to detail and accuracyFamiliarity with shareholder services and/or investment stewardship a plusApplicant may be asked to deliver a presentation to senior team members during interview process; request may include data analysis component.Compensation: Salary range $65k - $90k, commensurate with experience and skill, plus an annual discretionary performance-based bonus.
