As part of a broader network of companies, the organization benefits from national support from the parent company with over 9,000 employees and nearly $3 Billion in revenue annually.Position OverviewThe company is seeking an experienced HR Manager to act as a strategic business partner and leader within the organization, driving HR processes while working closely with operations to streamline and modernize systems. This role oversees on-site HR functions, supports business growth, and implements forward-thinking HR practices for approximately 260 employees, with plans for expansion to 310 employees. This HR Manager will have 1 Direct Report (HR Generalist) and report to the General Manager & Vice President of Human Resources. The company is experiencing rapid growth, necessitating a seasoned HR professional to manage human resources operations as a key leader in driving business solutions. The HR Manager will be responsible for managing full-cycle HR operations, improving HR processes, and supporting organizational leadership in fostering a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in HR leadership, experience in industrial environments, and the ability to modernize and implement strategic HR initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Business Partnering: Serve as a trusted advisor to operations leadership, providing strategic HR guidance to drive business performance.Full-Cycle HR Management: Oversee all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, compliance, and employee engagement.HR Process Modernization: Evaluate and modernize outdated HR processes and systems, ensuring alignment with company goals and enhancing operational efficiency.Attendance and Policy Oversight: Lead efforts to enhance attendance policies, ensuring clear communication and effective management.Employee Relations and Engagement: Foster positive employee relations by addressing workplace concerns, managing conflict resolution, and promoting a strong culture of teamwork and communication.Recruitment and Workforce Development: Support hiring efforts by partnering with recruitment teams and identifying innovative ways to source skilled labor, including trade schools and community programs.HR Systems and Compliance: Ensure HR operations comply with all local, state, and federal regulations. Implement electronic systems for applications, background checks, and performance reviews to enhance efficiency.On-Site Leadership: Provide hands-on support at the facility, engaging with employees and management daily. The HR Manager will be a visible leader, understanding the pulse of the organization.Acquisition Support: Assist in HR activities related to acquisitions, ensuring smooth transitions and integration of new employees into the existing workforce.Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that align with the company's long-term goals.Ideal Candidate ProfileEducation: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required. HR certifications (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM) are a plus.Experience: 5-7 years of HR management experience, preferably in a heavy industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance. Experience with HRIS and other HR management systems is preferred.Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor HR staff. Proven success in acting as a strategic business partner to leadership teams.Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement effective solutions that support the business.Change Management: Experience with modernizing HR systems, processes, and policies, particularly in environments with outdated systems.Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively convey information to employees and leadership.Travel: Occasional travel for quarterly HR team meetings.
