From design to development to delivery, our full-service agency can facilitate at any step of the process chain.The OpportunityAvondayle is currently seeking an Assistant Merchandiser with an eye for trends and product development to join our team in the Philadelphia area. This position is a hybrid of remote work and work from design studio/office. You will be responsible for enabling the effectiveness and efficiency of the office including providing stellar support for senior leadership as well as providing a full range of coordination, product development, and administrative duties for the team. You are someone who adapts well to change and can influence people. You are flexible and resourceful when things don't go as planned. You are eager to enable others to do their best work. You are motivated by the bigger picture and are great at seeing the steps needed to constantly improve our effectiveness as a team.Your role will require extreme organization, resourcefulness, problem solving, positive energy and a commitment to getting the job done well and on time.The PositionReporting to the VP of Sales, you are someone who is interested in learning. You must have good computer skills and previous experience with excel (nothing too fancy). You will be learning how to communicate with overseas factories and our buyers, facilitate the design process, price negotiation and costing and more. We are excited to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesCommunicate with overseas factoriesdata entrykeeping the studio organizedpurchase materials for samplesconcept developmentproduct developmenthandle samplescommunication with buyerssupport designersQualifications· Post-secondary degree or certificate in fashion· Eye for trendy brands such as Free People, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie, etc.· Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills· Proven ability to work independently and take initiative as required· Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail· Good computer skills, including Office 365 and Microsoft Office, Excel and the ability to learn new software.
