The company is renowned for its premier ambulance brand.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Maintenance Technician at Braun Ambulances in Van Wert, OH. The Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance duties including hand tool repair and preventative maintenance, facility maintenance support, equipment and machinery repair. Perform PM's daily and manage PM order system.ResponsibilitiesPerform general maintenance requirements including repair of air/hand tools and secondary equipment.Completes scheduled equipment preventative maintenance.Completes facility maintenance and support including air and water line plumbing, lighting and electrical wiring.Completes electrical work to add/install circuits, and repair/replace electrical motors and equipment or controls up to 480 V/3-phase.Analyzes mechanical/operational problems on assigned equipment and takes appropriate corrective action.Monitors, maintains and performs standard repairs to building electrical, plumbing, heating, ventilation and cooling systems.Conducts preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure safe and reliable condition.Works with equipment vendors to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair equipment.Must be available to work non-standard hours including Saturdays to access equipment with minimal adverse impact on production schedules.Perform safety and security audits making appropriate corrections including fire extinguishers, exit and emergency lighting.Keep assigned work areas clean and orderly.Operates fork truck for moving various materials including hazardous waste.Technical Skills/Competencies (Technical Knowledge, Education and Experience)High School diploma or equivalent and 5 years maintenance experience.Successfully complete maintenance competency evaluationProficient knowledge of both low and high voltage circuitryProficient knowledge in mechanical and hydraulic applicationsExperience with small machinery, power, air and hand tools.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software products.Knowledge of basic OSHA related safety requirements (i.e. Lockout/Tagout)Essential Functions/Physical RequirementsAble to demonstrate reasonable and reliable attendanceAbility to complete all work activities as detailed within this position profile at acceptable levels of productivity, quality and safety, with or without reasonable accommodation.With or without reasonable accommodation must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds with assistance, regularly required to walk, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, stand, crouch and kneel; frequently required to use hand to finger dexterity in order to handle objects, tools, and/or controls; occasionally required to stop or crawl.QualificationsEquipment Maintenance and Industrial Maintenance skillsTroubleshooting skillsExperience in Preventive MaintenanceAbility to perform Maintenance & Repair tasksStrong mechanical aptitudeGood problem-solving skillsAttention to detailPrevious experience in a similar role is preferredTechnical certification or diploma in a relevant fieldPersonality Traits / Core SkillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsCompliance with Braun Drug-Free Workplace policy
