They are the ones reviewing plans, scheduling, hiring subs, and then overseeing the jobs won from start to finish.From coordinating with general contractors, vendors, suppliers and customers to working closely with the Superintendent and project team, our Commercial MEP Project Managers exhibit strong multi-tasking, follow-through and all-around leadership skills. Consider the MEP Project Manager to be a big step into your career, as they promote from within and celebrate their employees' successes.Essential Duties And Responsibilities Of MEP SuperintendentCoordinate and supervise all construction activities.Directs all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule.Maintains open, daily communications on projects to PM and administrative staffCreate and update project schedules for on-time delivery.Evaluate the effectiveness and performance of field personnel and their crews.Completes daily reports and daily timesheets on the job site.Attend meetings on and off-site as directed.Promotes safety practices and procedures.JOB SPECIFICATION For MEP SuperintendentEducation/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management or related field; three plus years of experience with mechanical HVAC projects and plumbing / piping projects is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Of MEP SuperintendentAbility to read and comprehend complex instructions, business correspondence, and memos. Capability to write correspondence, effectively present information in one-on-one, or group presentations to customers, vendors and/or subcontractors and other employees of the organization. Bi-lingual communication skills would be considered a benefit.Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, aptitude to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Project Estimating software, Microsoft Excel, Access, and Word.Strong interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills. Valid Drivers license and clean driving record.
