Position SummaryThe Production Supervisor is responsible for planning and coordinating all manufacturing activities in order to meet schedule requirements in a safe manner. Supervises hourly coordinators and production employees while evaluating and coaching employees to improve performance. They are also expected to actively support the SQDCME Scorecard initiatives (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, Morale and Environment) in their respective area.Key AccountabilitiesSupervises the process and employees engaged in the manufacturing of products within assigned department and shift to meet schedule attainment goalsDevelops and executes production plans to achieve departmental and plant goals for all SQDCME metricsCompletes daily production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishes work results and establishes prioritiesAchieves manufacturing results by appropriately managing labor based on work requirements and communicating clear job expectationsDevelops, directs, and manages production employees and train them to properly utilize all equipment and toolsCoaches and counsels employees while coordinating and enforcing process controls, company policies, programs and proceduresPromotes a clean, safe work environment throughout the facilityInitiates and fosters a spirit of cooperation within and between departmentsConsistently updates and maintains Safe Work Instructions (SWIs) and completes required auditsLeads, promotes and supports continuous improvement activities, including the ECO SystemCoordinates and supports training and onboarding for all new employeesDevelops hourly coordinator and employee cross training plans and maintains skills matricesPerforms other job-related duties as assignedRequirements:Bachelor's Degree required in Business Management, Engineering or Technology preferred2 -- 3+ years supervisor experience in a manufacturing environmentAbility to identify OSHA compliance issues and control of hazardsAbility to lead, motivate and develop direct reports insert team buildingExperience implementing lean manufacturing, 5S and other continuous improvement conceptsStrong analytical, problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, Kronos, ADP, SAP and other business software/systems preferredDemonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneouslyLeadership AttributesEmbrace Diversity and Inclusion.
