Job OverviewThe Outerwear Production Coordinator ensures that the garment production process follows the planned schedule and budget within the apparel manufacturing industry, specifically focusing on outerwear production. The coordinator reviews customer's purchase order or buy sheet and builds detailed and accurate cost sheets. They communicate with factories and sales/design teams to organize all information, ensuring the correct information is received and released to factories for bulk production. The role involves tracking and following up on all production deliverables and statuses to ensure everything runs smoothly.Responsibilities and DutiesManage all e-mail communications with factories and suppliers to ensure that established standards are met within the apparel industry.Aid a sourcing/production manager by liaising between a buyer (customer) and a factory, providing detailed designs, preparing production schedules, cost estimates, issuing work orders, and keeping progress records up to date.Analyze new textiles, raw materials, and competing garment production costs to provide the most cost-effective and individualized production recommendations and strategies.Review garment specifications and collaborate with designers to ensure quality and compliance with industry standards.Manage "production data" and generate production reports to the Production Manager.Support the production process from start to finish, ensuring that instructions to vendors are clear and accurate to meet deadlines.Manage order processing, track and maintain data and files for production purposes, and provide weekly status reports to the Production Manager.Communicate daily with overseas vendors to ensure the timely delivery of goods and report to the Production Manager.Assist the Production Manager in creating costing sheets. Work with the designer/sales team and Production Manager to ensure that the price list is presented on time.Qualifications2-3 years' experience in the apparel or garment manufacturing industry.Able to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure. A strong sense of urgency is required.Good analytical and multi-tasking skills.A team player who can also work independently.Flexibility in working hours is a plus.Excellent time management and organization skills.Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.Experience with PLM systems or knowledge of garment construction is a plus.No sponsorships available.Benefits:401(k)Dental insuranceEmployee discountHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: In person
