Fully Remote - Undergraduate Social Media Intern (Unpaid but Course Credit Available)Commitment: Approximately 15 hours per week for a semester (approximately 3 months)Compensation: Unpaid, but course credit available (2 credits previously awarded based on school parameters)About Us:bmgstrategies is a remote-first strategic communications agency specializing in internal communications and employee engagement. We help organizations build stronger workplace cultures and communicate effectively with employees. We are looking for a social media-savvy intern with a natural talent for leveraging platforms and content creation, to grow their skills in social media strategy and execution.Role Overview:In this role, you will assist with developing and executing social media strategies that boost our agency's online presence, showcase our culture, and support our clients' social media objectives. This ideal role is for someone passionate about social media, who stays on top of trends, and is interested in expanding their skills to create engaging, shareable content.Responsibilities:Assist in creating, curating, and scheduling content across platforms such as Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTokLeverage your up-to-date knowledge of social media trends and algorithm changes to help create relevant, timely, and engaging contentWork with our team to grow follower counts and increase engagement across platforms through creative and strategic contentMonitor key metrics (followers, engagement, reach, etc.) and assist in providing insights to optimize performanceWork with our communications team to develop social media strategies that promote our agency's services and support our clients' internal communications and employee engagement goalsAssist in creating content for clients' social media campaigns, focusing on audience engagement and content performanceParticipate in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative ideas for agency and client social media campaignsQualifications:Senior in college, preferably studying Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related fieldStrong understanding of multiple social media platforms and experience with creating content that drives engagementStrong social media copywriting and social media image-and-video-taking skills (with a smartphone or other)Knowledge of social media trends, algorithms, and best practices for growing and engaging audiencesStrong written communication skills with an ability to adapt messaging to various platformsFamiliarity with social media analytics tools (e.g., Instagram Insights, LinkedIn Analytics, TikTok Analytics) is a plusStrong sense of designUnderstanding and workable knowledge of Adobe's Creative Suite (i.e. Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Self-motivated, creative, and capable of working independently in a remote environment What You'll Gain:Practical experience developing and executing social media strategies for a communications agency and its clientsMentorship from professionals in internal communications, employee engagement, and social media managementThe opportunity to build your portfolio, gain course credit (depending on your school's requirements), and explore your potential as a social media influencerHands-on experience managing social media accounts for corporate and client audiencesTo Apply:Please submit your resume, a brief cover letter, and links to any relevant social media profiles or campaigns you've worked on to: careers@ Deadline: Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
