MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN FOOD OR BEVERAGE Position: Corporate Controller Location: Monroe, New Jersey (Must be willing to travel 20% of the time) Industry: Multilocation Ethnic Food and Beverage Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Distributor Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)Overview:Seeking an experienced and dynamic Corporate Controller to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing and overseeing the financial operations of our multilocation ethnic food and beverage distribution business. The Corporate Controller will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and efficient financial management across all operating companies.Key Responsibilities:Financial Management and Reporting:Oversee most aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP or IFRS.Manage the consolidation of financial statements for multiple operating locations.Report financial results to the CFO and provide insights and analysis to support decision-making.Operational Responsibilities:Coordinate with 4 regional controllers of various operating companies to ensure financial practices align with corporate objectives.Help Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for financial operations across all locations.Help Monitor and manage working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory management.Budgeting and Forecasting:Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasting.Analyze financial performance against key business metrics and provide actionable insights to senior management.Implement financial planning tools to enhance forecasting accuracy.Internal Controls and Compliance:Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements.Coordinate and manage annual external audits and respond to audit findings.Team Leadership and Development:Help develop the finance and accounting team, providing guidance and support for professional growth.Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the finance team.Coordinate training programs to keep the team updated on financial regulations and best practices ensuring alignment with corporate financial policies and objectives.Technology and Systems:Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software.Ensure the integration of financial systems with other business systems to streamline operations.Leverage technology to improve financial reporting and analysis capabilities.Risk Management:Identify and manage financial risks, including currency, credit, and market risks.Develop and implement strategies to mitigate financial risks and ensure business continuity.Oversee insurance policies and manage relationships with insurance providers.Manage the annual renewal process for all corporate insurance policies, including property, liability, workers' compensation, and other business-related insurances.Ensure timely submission of renewal applications and related documentation.Maintain accurate records of all insurance policies and related claims.Treasury Function:Oversee cash flow management..Monitor and manage the company's debt portfolio and ensure compliance with borrowing base requirements and debt covenants.Evaluate and implement hedging strategies to mitigate financial risks related to foreign exchange and interest rates.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.Minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 7 years in a senior financial management role.Experience in the food and beverage distribution industry, particularly in a direct store delivery (DSD) model, is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS and experience with financial statement preparation and consolidation.Can call me at 854-222-9737All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to race, age, color, sex (including pregnancy), religion, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, military status, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable laws or regulations.
