Position Overview:As a Transportation Continuous Improvement Lead, you will play a critical role in improving quality, enhancing organizational efficiency and effectiveness by identifying and implementing process improvements. You will be responsible for analyzing transportation data, identifying root causes to process challenges, existing workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions to streamline processes and drive Continuous Improvement. Responsibilities:Leading or participating in projects to implement new processes and technologies in the Transportation Dept.Evaluating current organizational processes, workflows, and systems to identify areas for operational improvement and efficiency gains Leading or participate in Kaizen events and Gemba WalksImplementing solutions and follow up to sustain the gainsImplementing and supporting the 5s ProgramCollaborating with teams to develop and propose practical solutions, including process redesign, automation, or technology enhancementsFacilitating change management efforts by communicating proposed improvements, obtaining buy-in from stakeholders and ensuring successful implementationLeading or participating in Continuous Improvement projects, employing methodologies such as Lean, and Six Sigma to drive ongoing process enhancementsProvide clear work instructions, training, and design systems to promote sustainability of improvementsContinuous learning mindset to stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in the Transportation industry and in Continuous ImprovementFacilitate team meetings and lead teams to implement methods of measuring and holding gains in processesImproving the overall efficiency and functioning of Bozzuto's Transportation and Operations.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of continuous improvement initiativesTransportation Network design of routing and dispatching proceduresFlexibility to work various shifts, as needed including evenings, weekends, and holidaysPerform other duties as assigned by leadershipSchedule:Monday - FridayStandard Business HoursFlexibility to work weekends, nights and holidays as needed by the businessExperience:Preferred: B.A. or B.S. in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Business or relevant experiencePreferred: Lean Six Sigma CertificationPreferred: One (1) year experience in a transportation environment with hands on knowledge of relevant systems Environment:Warehouse Grocery - approx. 50F - 90FWarehouse Perishable - approx. 26F - 60FWarehouse Freezer - approx. 0F - -20FSkills:Safety Culture: Maintain and drive safety policies to all associates; driving for accountability of safe practices throughout shiftPhysical abilitiesMay be required to lift up to 75lbs.; the ability to operate required facility equipment Ability to stand, walk and sit throughout your day; Walking on a variety of flooring such as carpet, concrete, tile etc;Strong communication Skills: Ability to provide & receive constructive feedback; communication of expectations and directions clearlyBuilding a team based environment: Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation and team-building skills; inclusive decision makingProject Management: Results driven regarding implemented KPI's/Metrics; willingness to participate in continuous improvement projects; managing multiple deadline based projectsQuality: Maintain integrity and high standards of product handling from all perspectives
