The Site Controller assures a professional and accurate controlling at the local level within the SGL Carbon Group within given competencies. Develops and administers Business Unit or local analysis and reporting procedures and effective flow of information needed for strategic planning and ongoing monitoring. Counsels and supports Business Unit or local management with the development as well as the execution of strategy and the delivery of a strategic plan for the assigned area. Your Opportunity: Gives advise in all business relevant questions to site leadership of St Marys and Sinking Spring locations in controlling and accounting aspects. Active role in development of the production sites in accordance with site leadership and the BU's strategic direction. Prepare month-end financials for site management team, including analysis of manufacturing productivity and variancesOversee month-end and year-end closing procedures. Maintain narratives for financial closing, expenses, capital expenditures and other business-related processes. Manage local accounting function of the business to ensure adequate accounting and management controls are in place; build up and maintain effective internal controlling system. Lead the local budgeting/planning process to meet the strategic goals and Group deadlines. Take corrective measures if deviation from the budget occurs. Prepare forecast update each month. Work closely with manufacturing to understand issues and how they affect financial results, identifying key cost drivers. Prepare capital request forms for investments targeting bottleneck operations, expansion and improvements. Responsible for all financial matters of capital investments in St Marys and Sinking Spring sites. Regular comparisons of planned and actual operating and financial performance of the investments. Assures a timely and complete financial reporting of the investments. Review large customer quotations for Gross Margin and Return on Sale estimates. Developing and managing Controlling and Finance Team, based in St Marys. Assist or manage various ad hoc finance requests. Your Profile: Bachelor Degree in Accounting Excellent verbal and written communication Analytical, Leader, Decision MakerInitiator and self-motivated Minimum of 7-10 years of professional experience in manufacturing accounting, preferably in a plantAutomotive background is preferred in a fabrication or job shop environmentExperience in Continuous Improvement, Lean or Six Sigma Strong knowledge of ERP systems. Working knowledge of SAP FI/CO modules a plusExperience in international project management within global companies that have matrix organization structures a plus Knowledge of IAS and/or US GAAPExperienced manager of direct reports Costing in a manufacturing environment
