The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Lead Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our next-Gen Trading Platform who has a passion and prior expertise in building a next-gen cloud based, streaming microservices at scale and power our application modernization plans.You should be passionate about technology, software engineering, quality, and innovatively addressing technical problems. You will work with the team to establish SRE best practices and procedures collaborate on technical solutions and ensure exceptional software engineering practices, quality, and good documentation.It's essential to be willing to take on new skills to meet the shifting demands of accelerating our modernization efforts to the public cloud and Kubernetes world. Otherwise, how do we innovate, learn and grow as a team and individuals?How You'll Help Take Us ThereLead a team of developers to define and implement SRE best practicesBuild a culture of automation, identifying manual tasks and creating robust and innovative solutions to remove toilIntegrate and operate observability products that support compliance requirements and enable the team to better understand the state of their services and apps in production and help other teams do the sameProvide technical leadership and guidance around containerization of applications and DevOps best practicesPerform analytics on previous incidents to better predict issues and take proactive actionsDevelop, monitor, and alert on SLIsSLOsGrow our agile development culture through use of excellent engineering skills and a deep knowledge of DevOps methodologiesOwn the regular reviews of systems performance metrics with the stakeholdersShare your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering communitySocialize SRE culture across teams in the organizationBuild and maintain CI CD pipelines for applications and productsAuthor Release Deployment Plans and Rollback procedures Develop and scale engineering best practices across the organization through automation, auditability, automated testing, infrastructure and policy as codeEstablishing cross-training initiatives to provide enhanced automated support capabilitiesWhat We're Looking for 9+ years in Cloud and SRE to DevOps roles, with 2+ years minimum of software development experience3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, deploying, and automating infrastructure & platform services in Public Clouds (AWS, GCP, and Azure) using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)2+ years as team leadFamiliarity with Automation and DevSecOps Pipeline tools like Ansible, Maven, Gradle, Chef, Puppet, prehensive understanding of CICD and experience with building and deploying pipelines with tools such as JenkinsStrong knowledge in at least one and preferably both: Java, PythonExperience with shell scriptingHands-on experience in orchestration container platforms (cloud or on-premises such as docker, EKS, AKS, Tanzu, OpenShift, etc.)Deeply committed to complete automation of the complete SDLCExceptional problem resolution skillsExceptional quantitative and analytical skillsStrong written, verbal, and team communications skillsAbility to collaborate with team members and colleagues across the organization, as well as open attitude about sharing work-in-progress and developing ideas BSMS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subjectWhat You Can Expect from UsHybrid Environment: Our employees enjoy a mix of working in the office and from homeFree Food: We provide free lunch for employees when they are working in the office. Actual salary may vary depending on job-related factors, which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
