Medicaid Program Advisor - Office of Aging & Long Term Care in NYCItem 1264SummaryUnder the direction of the Deputy Director of the Center for the Master Plan for the Aging in the Office of Aging and Long Term Care (OALTC), the Medicaid Program Advisor will:Assist Office leadership in developing, advancing and evaluating state aging and long-term care policy recommendationsCollaborate with other OALTC and DOH divisions to organize and complete mission driven priorities and objectivesAssist in organization and implementation of cross-agency initiativesEngage regularly with external stakeholders regarding statewide aging priorities and programsAssist with the implementation of the State's Master Plan on AgingAssist with implementation of various workforce and aging-in-place proposalsIn addition, other research and program development projects in aging and long-term care will be assigned to this position.The ability to work collaboratively as part of high-level team will be expected.Employee must be highly motivated and able to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.Employee must demonstrate strong writing, analytical and communication skills, and be able to efficiently synthesize data and complex concepts for OALTC leadership.Employee must have knowledge of and experience in programs related to long-term care services and supports, with knowledge of long-term care workforce issues preferred.Employee will also provide training and guidance to new team members who join the Center for Aging and Long Term Care Regulatory and Policy Initiatives.
