We're looking for an experienced and data-driven leader within our Risk Team as our Director of Credit Risk. In this role you'll impact our business by developing credit strategies supporting our credit card, and overall credit program. You'll need strong conviction, and will need to be comfortable with data-driven decisions and strategy to support both internal and external teams. This is a unique opportunity to get in on the ground floor and build Relay's first credit program from the ground up alongside our founders. In this role you'll have a massive impact on empowering the financial success of SMBs using our platform.What You'll Be DoingBuilding out the entire credit risk program and team from 0 to 1Develop acquisition and customer management credit strategies for lending products at Relay including approval, line, application information requirements and other parametersInfluence marketing decisions by providing information on profitability of channels and segments, and the impact of proposed marketing strategies on overall profitabilityCollaborate with partner teams across the company and work with leadership to challenge status quo, and high quality changes implement to improve and grow the businessWorking closely with our executive and leadership teams, you'll be communicating and aligning on performance and strategyWho You Are5+ years experience in credit card risk strategy3+ years in a leadership capacityEducational background in a quantitative field, economics, business, engineering or equivalentExperience managing risk & reward optimization for lending programsYou've built a new product or program from 0 to 1Strong communication skills Highly collaborative Ability to influence and build buy-in amongst senior & executive leadershipSignificant experience in cross-functional partnerships (sales, marketing, product, IT etc)Extensive experience using test and learn frameworksBonus PointsYou have experience with lending or credit cards tailored to SMBsYou've joined a company at its early stages and have seen it through scaleYou have experience working in a fintech startupOur Commitment To YouCompetitive salary and meaningful equity: every team member gets a piece of the prehensive health benefits: we offer full health benefits + an HSAWSA starting from day 1 so you get the coverage you need.Considerable vacationend-of-year holiday shutdown: we take time off to reset and recharge so we come back better for our customers.Hybrid work environment: we love collaborating and connecting in the office two times a week and offer catered lunches and a snackbeverage program for the days we're in office.
