Collaborative environment within a mission-driven organizationOpportunity for career growthAbout Our ClientThis client is a NFP organization in the Education sector.Job DescriptionAssist with Accounting tasks, including but not limited to: high volume of reconciliations, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting under the direction of the Controller.Support accounting projects by gathering necessary data and ensuring timely execution.Work closely with the Controller to identify and use necessary resources to complete assigned tasks.Collaborate with team members to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational procedures.Ensure proper accounting of transactions in compliance with accounting standards.Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Controller.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. The Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with at least one year of accounting experience.Driven to learn and receptive to guidance from senior accounting staff.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Familiarity with Sage Intacct is a plus.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Proficiency in technology with an interest in optimizing systems, improving processes, and leveraging automation.Analytical mindset with the ability to identify challenges and contribute to solutions under mitment to the organization's mission and values.We are looking for an Accountant who wants to gain hands-on accounting experience, embrace technology, and support the Controller in financial operations.
