Divisional Controller About the RoleLincoln Search Consultants, a Forbes nationally recognized Best Professional Recruiting Firm, is recruiting on behalf of our client, a $2 billion global leader in their sector. This role will sit and their global HQ in Itasca and has an on - site requirement.The Divisional Controller position is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving the financial strategy, compliance, and overall financial management of the organization's largest division. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with senior leadership on critical initiatives such as audits, financial analysis, acquisition evaluations, budgeting, and more.Key ResponsibilitiesAudit Compliance: Lead and manage all audits for the division, including external, sales and use tax, and bank audits.Strategic Financial Direction: Develop and execute financial strategies that align with corporate objectives and drive long-term growth.Tax Compliance: Collaborate with external tax advisors to manage tax liabilities, facilitate payments, and implement cost-saving strategies.Risk Management: Oversee insurance contracts and serve as the primary liaison for insurance claims and risk mitigation efforts.Treasury and Cash Management: Partner with financial institutions to manage treasury activities, implement cash management strategies, and negotiate lease terms for significant capital projects.Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial packages for senior leadership and board members, along with the annual financial report and supporting documentation.Financial Analysis: Conduct due diligence on acquisition opportunities and lead analysis on key pricing and cost initiatives.BudgetingForecasting: Spearhead the annual budgeting process and assist in developing presentations for the board of directors.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance (required).MBA and CPA credentials are preferred but not mandatory.A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or finance within a corporate setting.Prior experience as a divisional or departmental controller is highly desirable.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.Why This Opportunity?This is a strategic and visible leadership role within a highly successful organization, offering career growth opportunities and the chance to influence business decisions at a divisional level.
