PMHNP -ACUTE CARE FACILITY Compensation: Salary Range to $160K+ This over 100 -bed acute care facility located In nearby Chicago, Illinois has been providing mental health treatment to the community and the state of Illinois for the past 10 years. . They offer specialized inpatient programs and outpatient services to adolescents and adults and have been able to decrease symptoms of mental illness with a clear mission to get people in their community have healthier lives. OVERVIEW OF POSITION C oordinates decision making with the psychiatrist, in the assessment, diagnosis, and medication management of psychiatric patients. Works in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans. The team includes psychiatrists, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, mental health technicians, social workers, therapists and educators. Ability to establish empathy and a person-centered approach to patients. A bility to recognize own limitations and respond to difficult situations. Skillfully work in a self-motivated and independent manner. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with team members as well as patients . REQUIREMENTS Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of Illinois Education: Completion of a Master's Program (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner) from an accredited school of nursing. Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in a psychiatric setting Additional Requirements: Comprehensive liability insurance
