Summary:Key Requirements: The Checker is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. HeShe will perform all checking and other front-end courtesy duties, including but not limited to spill clean-up, general housekeeping and other duties as assigned by management.When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guestScan all items, beginning with the bottom of the basketProperly ID customers per company policy when purchasing alcohol andor tobacco productsHelp guests find items when necessaryFollow daily work schedule as assigned by managementEncourage guest participation in satisfaction surveyEncourage guest participation in rewards programEncourage guest participation in promotional programs when applicable (e.g. Monopoly Game, Rewards Promotions, etc.)Follow dress code in accordance with team member handbookFollow attendance and tardiness guidelines in accordance with team member handbookPerform sacker duties, when necessaryReplace sack supply as necessaryPerform occasional stocker duties as assigned by managementPerform other duties as requested or required by managementKey Responsibilities: Must maintain Alcohol SellerServer CertificationAbility to work at fast-paced but efficient and controlled mannerAbility to perform all physical aspects of checkersackerstocker duties including but not limited to bending, lifting, walking, squatting, climbing and at times runningAbility to operate all checking equipment, keep accurate records, count money and make changeAbility to lift to a height of 4 feet, items weighing up to 40 lbs. on a regular basisAbility to place items weighing up to 80 lbs. in floor board and trunk space of vehiclesAbility to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitudeAbility to function as a team member and get along with othersThis job description is intended to provide a high-level of general requirements for this position.
