PLEASE NOTE: This is a hybrid position requiring onsite collaboration. The role will be based out of our office located in New York City. All candidates must be willing to commute into the office on a regular basis.Specific ResponsibilitiesDirector, Business Intelligence is responsible for defining the enterprise Business Intelligence and analytics strategy across all lines of business as well as for internal and external stakeholdersThis role will define, manage and maintain analytics processes; policies for business and technical teams; and support the business in building analytics competenciesThe role will creatively solve analytics problems, with an eye toward enterprise scale through simplicity, accuracy and automationBuild strong relationships with the business and partner with them to deliver, implement and support a data analytics operating model and toolsLearn and possess a deep understanding of the company's business models, data sources, and system infrastructure to design and implement the roadmap and guiding principles for a scalable reporting and analytics operating modelAnalyze complex business needs presented by the end users andor customers and synthesizes value added requirements and capabilities for developmentBuilds strong relationships with Business partners and IT executive leadership to drive analytics strategy and tactical executionEstablishes roadmapsInitiates and delivers programs that align IT with business strategies and provides a high degree of end user adoptionEnsure datainformation integrity of reporting applications by creating, maintaining, and enforcing policies and proceduresPromote and evangelize the value of BI, analytics to all level of business unitsCo-develop and maintain an aspirational enterprise data and technical architecture roadmapDevelop metrics and reports and communicates to executive leadershipReview new and existing programproject business requirements for analytics need with a critical eye to not replicate application-level reportingContinuously evaluates staff positions, responsibilities and individuals for appropriate performance, skills, potential for improvement and growthMentors staff to improve skills, provide career growth, and ensure succession plansDevelops and effectively manages IT budgets and ensures budget adherenceEffectively negotiates with outside vendors and consultants as requiredUses consultants judiciously to augment staff, and ensures cost-beneficial utilizationStay abreast of leading-edge data technologies, services and best practicesPreferred QualificationsBachelor's andor Master's degree in business analysis, information systems, or computer science required10-15 years of progressive leadership experience managing IT process re-engineering, analysis, development, testing andor support functionsDemonstrated track record of hiring, developing, and managing IT talent, and building diverse, high performing teamsFive or more years of progressive leadership experience in leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide programs, operating and influencing effectively across the organization and within complex contextsDeep understanding and experience building and managing department budgets, forecasts and leading complex, large-scale vendor assessments through RFIRFPMSASOW negotiationExperience leading an analytics solution, supporting multiple departments or business linesDeep understanding of data models and analytics practicesExperience delivering various forms of data modeling (conceptual, logical, physical)Experience leading, or being a key contributorcollaborator through the implementation and support of an analytics operating modelExperience partnering with a Data Management solution; deep understanding of Master Data Management principles, architectures and patternsExperience with multiple ERP and operations platforms to drive value added analytics capabilitiesDeep understanding and experience in the support and partnering with BIAnalytics business and IT stakeholdersExperience with Data Profiling and Data Quality best-practices, methodology and thought leadershipSalary Range: $150,000 - $190,000The salary range provided represents what a potential hire may expect to earn in this role at BGB. Actual salary decisions will be influenced by several factors that we use to determine overall fit, including experience (both direct and indirect), education, training, demonstrated qualifications, and organizational need.
